"From tests carried out on a variety of soils, the coils have extremely good depth and sensitivity - 80% of the time the finds made were still in the hole and not in the flap even though the loud signals had me thinking they were shallow. Signals on small coins penny sized were good and loud to four inches with bigger coins giving good signals deeper than that.

"On lawns and for small jewelry recoveries, this concentric coil will work very well and scrubbing along the surface is recommended to achieve maximum detection depths. Similarly, in farm fields, particularly in tight areas between rows of cut crops this coil is very effective as it's easy to zip along the bottom and detect the sides of the furrows as well. Woodland is another area where this coil offers great potential as its small size gets it much closer to rocks and tree trunks than a bigger coil would allow"
